FLOOR INSULATION FOR HEATING FOIL

The dedicated STR6 insulation panels are designed for additional thermal insulation of the floor and are laid directly under the MySun heating foil. They are made of extruded polystyrene and do not stick but float. Due to this fact, this type of insulation is only suitable for floating floors, such as laminate flooring, certain type of parquet flooring, certain type of vinyl, etc.

STR6 insulation boards serve as additional floor insulation, but they have another important function – they make it easier to lay. It is important to note that when laying MySun heating films, grooves must be made in the ground in certain places, in which the connection cables, the floor sensor, and the contacts between the connection cables and the heating foil settle. It is very easy to install these grooves into STR6 insulating boards, as you only cut them with a suitable knife, while making these grooves into screeds, OSB boards, etc. a much more time consuming task.
